The race for the cure is simply one for the cause. Big money raiser to cure Autism. We(the store) are helping to support the race. In other words, no need to be a speed demon. Heck you can walk it for all I care. So far I have Askey, Justin, I think Melissa is running, too.
I have spread the word wide and far so we will see what transpires.
thanks,
Max

Max, I think I will race it. is this a commped entry?
Hey Jason,
I was hesitant to ask about comps becuase the store is serving as a partial sponsor of the race and we want to promote the cure the autism cause. If you want to race it, that would be great. I think we should have a fairly solid team. Since it is last minute effort to get a team together, I recruited a few colleagues from the Washington Running Club, as well.
Either way, you should place in the top 5.
let me know.
Max
okay, what's the entry fee?
Jason, I will send you the correct link to register. You or Melissa can captain the team. You two can decide.
Max
I would rather be the rebel rouser than captain.
Being a pirate would be kind of fun.
OK, I am glad to know one of you wants to be a rebel and the other, a pirate. Does this mean that neither want to be captain? If indeed, this is the case, I will ask Askey since he is the elder statemen of the group after the two of you.
Jason, go to the runwashington site and look under featured races for the cure autism 5k. Sign up and put down grc as team. Max
Hey Max! You never did email me after I saw you in the store last Saturday. I am the one who ran Boston! I'm running this on Friday. I'm no speed demon (probably 7 to 7:30 miles)but if you need people I can help you out.
you are on the team Bridget. I do not have your e-mail handy. Can you send it to me at Max.lockwood@gmail.com
I've decided to run it. I'll sign up on the website and see you guys there!
