Coach J has Ryan and I hitting up the following workout:
2 x 1600 and 4x800 all with 400 recovery.
5:00, 4:55, 2:22, 2:22, 2:18, 2:18 (are the projected splits).
of course it is, the marathon crushed my body at mile 24 nothing like running 30+ mins for the last 2.2 miles and spending 6 hours in the medical tent, I'm out of commission for a long time
I'll do the posted workout as well. Coach Jerry is going to grab dinner after the workout with anyone who can be there. It should be a good opportunity to talk training.
Shut yaa mouth Tenda Fooo! just playing... I think thats a good workout. I love quarters before a big race.... With Vets day being a key focus for you, i think you are ready to rock it. Coach K...(lim) is setting you up well for a big PR
That is the workout I was looking to do. I was thinking of potentially breaking it down into sets of 4 or 6 as well (i.e. 3-4 x 4x400) with short rest (45 sec). If I bring some extra tenders, do you think we can pick the pace up to about 70s?
I ran this morning and have a deadline to meet at work, so I won't be going to the track after all. If you all go out for that dinner, let me know, I might join you afterwards.

I think I'm coming just to do a easy run
I'm going to do 26x1600's to avoid the wall at mile 24 for my next one.
Ian, is that a joke?

if you ever go out that fast in a marathon again, I am going to kick you in the face

I've got a 5k this weekend, so I'm doing 10-16x400, starting at 75, cutting down.
