Sharks frequent the SF Bay area regularly. In fact, recent studies have discovered the feared Great White migrates through the waters off the California coast and is known to attack unsuspecting humans, as seen in this highly authentic photo: http://tkcollier.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/great-white-sharks-coming-closer-to-shore-than-thought/ Witnesses recount a pro female punching a shark in the face during the race this weekend. My money is on LJ.
Michelle, that's exactly what I did... the shark found other prey: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_X1IWXuEbgXI/TB8mj4csXqI/AAAAAAAACiU/otgiJDVoyR0/s640/great+white+shark+eating+a+seal.jpg.
