Gina and Alex both had great races at the Brooklyn Mile to close their season. In the elite women's section, Gina ran 4:53 for 2nd place and Alex finished in 5:08 for 9th.
Charlie won the Oakmont 5K outside of Pittsburgh, PA in 15:49.

Weekend Results: Lawyers Have Heart
GRC took home 2nd place in the Club Challenge at the Lawyer's Have Heart 10K thanks to some strong performances.
Maura Linde finished a real successful season and led the way for the women, finishing 8th in 36:19. Kerry Allen had a big PR of almost a minute in a tune-up for Grandma's half, finishing 9th in 36:54. Erin was 15th in 38:11, and Gina 17th in 38:34.
For the men, Dan Samet led the way, closing his season strong and finishing 13th in 31:49. Paul was 17th in 32:42. Kyle finished 19th in 33:18, and Cabell was 20th in 33:26. Pat K was 30th in 34:06, and was also the top master's finisher. Kyle and Pat were both in tune-up mode for upcoming races at Grandma's.

Weekend Results: June 1-2
We had several wins at the Wayfarer's 10K and Half-Marathon in Annapolis. Austin M won the half in 1:16.02 on a very hilly course and a hot day. Molly was 2nd and 8th overall in 1:29.02. Rob won the 10K in 34:00. Sarah Zieve won the women's race in 37:50. Chelsea V was 4th in 40:00.
Kerry and Charlie both took home wins in the Mentoring Matters 5K in DC. Charlie ran 16:06 and Kerry ran 18:00.
Sean Barrett continued his comeback with a 1:11.05 at the San Diego Rock N' Roll Half Marathon.
In track action, Alex M ran 2:15.1 in the 800 at the John Hay Invite.

Weekend Results: Ottawa Marathon, Loudoun Street Mile
Margaret had an excellent race at the Ottawa Marathon, running 2:58.42 for a 5 minute PR. Hallie made a smart call of calling it a day after 17 miles, as the conditions were very challenging.
We had a very big crew for the Loudoun Street Mile. Gina led the way for the women with a 3rd place finish in 4:58. Alex was 6th in 5:05, Sarah C was 13th in 5:29 and Angelina was 15th in 5:39. For the men, Dan T was 4th in 4:16, followed by Lars 6th in 4:18, then Mark in 18th and Dave Wertz 19th in 4:34. Dave's time won him the masters division by 13 seconds.
In track action, Emily D ran 10:22 for the 3000 meter steeple in Belgium. Liz T ran 2:18 in the 800 at a Garden State TC meet.

We had a bunch of half marathon efforts this weekend. Luk and Sean raced the Brooklyn Half in warm conditions, running 1:13.07 and 1:15.00, respectively. Dix had a local win in the St. Michael's half marathon, running a solo 1:16.00. Charlie won the Windermere Half in Spokane in 1:15.35.
We had two top three finishes in the Capital Hill Classic 10K, led by Paul and Rob. Paul was 2nd in 33:33 and Rob was 3rd in 33:35. Trever was 2nd in the Germantown 5 Miler in 26:37. Mark Hopely won the Semper 5ive 5 Miler in Fredericksburg in 27:16.

The GRC crew had a really good night, with a couple big PR's at Swarthmore.
For the women, Caroline ran 17:10.77 for a huge, 20 second 5K PR, placing 6th overall. Chelsie P won the second women's 5K section in 18:01. In the 1500, Maura won her section in 4:32.88, very near to her PR, and then was able to pace Caroline for 4200 meters afterwards. Liz T ran 4:52.03 in the 1500.
For the men, Sam C led the way in the 5K with a 14:34.19. Cabell had a strong comeback to the track, running 15:15.77. Tom Kelly had a 17 second PR in the 5K, running 15:29.91. Dave Wertz ran 15:31.53. In the 1500, Dan Trettel ran 3:54.88 and Lars ran a strong season best of 3:56.37.
