Only slightly sore. Here's a tip that I got from letsrun: I drank a whole bunch of pedialyte within an hour of finishing. It's an electrolyte solution that's given to babies for rehydration. It tastes terrible, but I think it really helped. I also got a massage yesterday. I guess all the "little" things really do make a difference.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04551994775964651313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1823626532533196485.post-53618509976141438592007-11-25T12:08:00.000-05:002007-11-25T12:08:00.000-05:00Super Duper Job. I signed up yesterday thinking that I might as well do it since I was planning to do a long run on the NCR trail today anyway (my parents live near it). I was just planning to get a Boston qualifier but felt pretty good through 10 so I decided to try to break 3. I think my splits were ~1:28:30/~1:29:30. I'm not sure if I ducked under 2:58 on the official clock, but my watch reads 2:57:55 (a PR!). The fact that I ran it pretty evenly, coupled with the fact that surface was soft (very similar to the Canal), leads me to hold out hope for a speedy recovery. I can go downstairs without pain and touch my toes (my personal benchmarks for recovery), so who knows? Maybe I'll be able to take another stab at 2:47 before the trials. Either way I'm very happy to have another marathon under my belt!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04551994775964651313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1823626532533196485.post-20238742371267858372007-11-24T14:33:00.000-05:002007-11-24T14:33:00.000-05:00Way to go Melissa!Way to go Melissa!Peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17904168127656651359noreply@blogger.com
