AFTER READING YOUR TRAINING JOURNALS ALL I CAN SAY IS

I am glad but also a little sad not to be in my 20s anymore. Upon reading these things, I am impressed by people's introspection and such.
MAX ON THE SOAPBOX----- In your 20s you are supposed to not know much about the world or yourself. Go out and find YOU and develop confidence and self acceptance, a career, some true love, etc.

In your 30s things begin to flatten out so to speak. You really could care less what others think about you and you are confident in core aspects of yourself and how you fit in with others, etc.

In my 20s I did not have running as a companion. I was an idealist and did other things entirely. So I really do not understand how some of you guys are so dedicated to something that is so time consuming. A 20 year old male has the energy and hormonal level that is pretty intense. I guess its better to run it off than drink, party, etc.

Anyway, its Thanksgiving and I am thankful for running, knowing you guys and other local runners, and loving every ounce of life that is given to me.

RACE REPORT

Ran the Turkey Trot 5 Mile race in Alexandria today. Totally hot(weather) and lots of beautiful women, too! The usual crew was out including Vanessa Hunter, Crane, Derik and Lisa Thomas and so on. I ran a conservative but strong race. Started out real slow and picked off people along the way. I think I came in 7 or 8 out of like, 2500 runners. Lots of post race chatter and fun. Saw Mike Wardian(not racing but tooling his kid around the area in a stroller).

Ran a few miles for a cool down and am happy.

RUNNING MAKES ME HAPPY_____
