PRE BOSTON BONDING SESSION

I suggest we meet at the GRC store this Sat at 8:30am for one more run of love before the mighty attack on Beantown. I feel sort of like some character from Lord of the Rings who is about to embark on a journey that will bring about near death and destruction but where true glory can be achieved.

In any case, what about run for 12 miles or so on Sat and then head to S-bucks on M st for a cup of joe? I suggest 8:30am because I need to be done with the run by 10ish.

capiche?

  1. Good idea, but a few of us can't do 8:30am. We have a swimming class. 90 mins would be tough to cram in a run and a latte anyways.

    Anyone else okay with 9?

  3. I suppose folks can run at the time that works with them. I need to get to work by 11:30 so 8:30 is the latest tht I can go and still get in a shower. Since Wilson has to work at 10am I will meet him at 8:30 and we will do 10 miles or so.

maybe sometime mid-week we can all get together for pre-Boston beer after work and take a group photo, etc. M

  4. Hey Jake, were you serious about swimming lessons? If not, why can't you guys meet at 8:30am. Having an extra 1/2 hr will help me out and will allow Wilson to run with us. I have not run with the crew in some time and I miss everyone.

C'mon, where is the love and tenderness?

  5. No, I was fibbing.

It takes me, Reaves, Bain and others a good 25 mins to get down to GRC on Saturdays. I've been slamming on all fronts and I know Bain is kneck deep in both work and school stuff so it's nice to get a little sleep on Saturday mornings. I know others (in downtown DC even) enjoy their Saturday morning rest.

Also as a late-30 something hairy chested beast man, you don't need as much sleep as us young pups.

  6. Jake and I were going to carpool to the Y together before the run. He has swim lessons; I have my bi-weekly Dance n'Tone class:

  7. I have the "Back on track" stroller-running class myself. Max, if you're strapped for time why don't you start at 8:30 and circle back at 9 so that you can run the rest with the group?

Max - you game? We can meet you at the towpath if you like?
