I was talking with Reaves about this earlier...I am skipping out. My legs are pretty beat and I'm gonna wait until Saturday to workout. Reaves was thinking of doing 4-5 miles at threshold (I think) if the weather cooperates. He can let you know more about it...
Tomorrow: Freezing rain in the morning changing to rain in the afternoon. High 39F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow night: Rain or snow showers in the evening will give way to clearing late. Low 22F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precip 60%.
Upon further review, I think I am out for a B-CC workout tonight. I haven't been down there, but I'm 90% sure the track isn't going to be shoveled, which is going to make running a track workout pretty useless if there's a few inches of snow covering it.
Agreed. I almost bit it like 5 times on the way to work today. Running on a sheet of ice sounds like a recipe for a busted appendage or two, with or without spikes.
I am guessing the track will be a little icy, but I guess thats what spikes are for.

Sounds like some character building weather. A threshold run sounds good to me. Patrick Reaves?
ReplyDeleteI am good for it, just as long as we can get to the track. To play it safe, I'll probably bring spikes and "run by feel" or wear a HR monitor.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking 4-5 miles of 80s, plus strides at the end.
I think Im in, Patrick whats the pace?
ReplyDelete...oh and the time
I'm thinking 6:45, if that works for everyone. Could be interesting depending on how the weather plays out.
