I am NOT running Cherry Blossom, but I figure it might be good practice for the team to run part of the course on Saturday during the Store run (or at least the 6-7 miles of the course). Any takers?
That piques my interest, Fox... my plan for a run this weekend is 2 miles relaxed and 8 @ 5:45-6:00 pace or just a little under... and it would be good to do that on the CB course. Anyone interested in doing the CB portion at that pace with me?
I would be up for a shorter tempo of maybe 4-5 miles. I like the idea of running whatever we do on the CB course. This is a good opportunity for the new guys who haven't raced it before.
I suggest we run from the Store down Rock Creek Pwy/Gtown Waterfront and "start" the Cherry Blossom run at the Watergate, then proceed to run from mile 3 to mile 5 (skipping mile 4?) and then the last 5 miles of the course. This might end up being closer to 12 miles.
Those wishing to tempo could do that from mile 5 to 9? It's very important to see the last mile (from 9-10) IMO so maybe we can hold up and run that part together.

ReplyDeleteThis is good for me too. Saturday I want to run quicker for 4 miles and then be on the track sunday
