8/17 workout and Leesburg 20k

While we had another quiet weekend on the race front as we continue to prepare for a huge fall season, I would be remiss if I failed to mention Matt Logan's strong run at Leesburg 20k. When Matt unleashed his fearsome kick, he made it look so easy that the assembled press corps failed to recognize that he covered the last 100 meters in 12 flat. For the workout this week, the A group will do 4 x 1.5 mile with a 3:30 recovery, @ 75s, 74s, 73s, 72s. The B group will do 10 x 800 with a 2:30 recovery, 2 @ 75s, 2 @ 74s, 2 @ 73s, 2 @ 72s, 2 @ 71s.

Meet at 6:30, workouts start on the track at 7:15.

  1. Late post I know, but I will be doing a 7 mile alternator at 5 and 5:30 pace for the hard and moderate segments on the CCT if anyone would like to join.
