Weekend Results: Raleigh Relays & Richmond - Stalnaker, Trettel set GRC Club Records

GRC sent crews to both Raleigh Relays and the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond.

In Raleigh, Lucas had a sensational performance, running 28:57 in the 10K. This was both a 12 second PR and a 30 second club record. Coach Jerry described Lucas' run as the best performance ever run by a GRC men's athlete on the track. Lucas will chase the USATF standard in the 10K for the outdoor nationals. Dan Trettel also set a new GRC club record in the 1500, running 3:51.55. Other highlights included Sam Chauvin breaking 30 and running 29:56 in the 10K, and Maura Linde running 16:38 for 5K, as she tunes up for the 10K at Penn Relays later in April.

We also had solid performances in Richmond, highlighted by Natalie "PR" Patterson, who ran a PR of 17:46 for 5K. Max also ran sub 15 in the 5K, with a 14:56 showing. Jesse Carlin and Caroline Smith both were the first non-collegiate finishers in their races.
