Wednesday night's workout will be 4xmile hard. Start talking about carpool options to Baltimore Sunday for the Kelly's Shamrock 5k. Who's going to take charge and coordinate an itinerary, etc?
I'll coordinate the Baltimore race with the guys on Wednesday. Stay tuned to the blog for information on carpools, itineraries, etc. Please update the calendar in the "GRC Spreadsheet" link on the blog if you intend to race this weekend.
Patrick - I know you know, but it is worth repeating here...
The BMore 5k starts at 1:15pm, but you CANT get there an hour before the race...like any usual road race. They STOP packet pickup at 11:00 or 11:30am or so (pls check website for exact time). It's best to leave DC earlier, go to packet pick-up and get that out of the way...then you just chill for 90 mins or so. It sucks, but that's the only way to do it. Unless you arrange for someone in Baltimore to scoop your number on Friday or Saturday.
Wish I could be there to cheer, but I am off to CA.
Thanks Jake. Yes everyone, this race requires us to pick up our packets BEFORE 11:30, even though the race doesn't start until 1:15. We should plan to leave DC/Bethesda by 10. At the very least, this allows us to get a great parking spot near the race start.
I vote brewskis after this race. Maybe we can head to Fed Hill or Canton afterwards. I know RM is stalking this blog so maybe he can let us know if there are plans afoot.
So if you guys check out over on the thatswhatshesaidblog, under the appropriately titled "This Place About to Blow" post, you will see post-post race party information. Ed and I live at 925 S. Ellwood Ave, 21224 for you GPS users. It's 2 miles from where the race finishes, real easy to get to. We are two blocks away from Canton Square - a string of local bars for those who've never been before - and we plan on having our rooftop deck ready to host the party.
I'm racing in the morning myself and will probably get back just in time to spectate the 5k, and then get home, so I probably won't have much on hand - but it's real easy to pop around the corner to the chemist and pick up some brews, etc.

Ha, yeah I haven't come up with a plan yet but rest assured there will be one.
PMurph, as far as parking is concerned, look to go east of the start, like off of Guilford (underneath I-83) there is parking.
