I say "yes" run a marathon. Along with Webb and Culpepper, Hall is one of America's versatile runners...he can always move back down in distance.I wish he picked Boston, but London is more competitive. Boston needs more great US marathoners.
I think it is a mistake for a very good road runner who is young to try and go up against the best in the world in one race on his debut. The pressure will be severe to try and make a point and he might make a critical mistake. Why not make a debut at San Diego or some smaller marathon where nobody will know him. Many a great young athlete has killed a career by moving ahead, too fast. My only guess is they are paying him tons of money to represent. However, he does not go top ten people will be disappointed.
