Three huge PRs in Colonial Williamsburg!
Stephanie Reich placed 14th in the seeded, Championship section of the Women's 1500 meter run in a time of 4:31.17, good for a resounding personal best and her second number-two all-time GRC performance in the last eight days.
Steph's previous official personal best in the 1500 was 5:05.09; in the mile, she has run 4:59 on the road. Steph's new 1500 personal best theoretically converts roughly to a time of 4:52 for the full mile.
In the men's Championship 5000 meter run, Stewart Reich continued the Reich family's streak of success with GRC, breaking 15 minutes for the first time ever to run 14:58.6 for the twelve-and-a-half-lap distance. Joining Stewart in the 3.1 mile race around the track, Kyle Wagener turned in a time of 16:06.

In the men's University 5000 meter run on Saturday morning, Luk obliterated his previous personal best for the distance by 34.01 seconds as he clocked a time of 15:14.16. Luk reportedly covered the third mile of his race in 4:53, before closing in 32 seconds for the final 200 meters.
Luk's previous best for the distance on the track was 15:48, run this January in the Terrapin Invitational at the Prince George's County Sportsplex. The 5000, however, has heretofore been largely uncharted territory for the Lewisburg, Pennsylvania native. At Franklin and Marshall College, Luk established his reputation as a middle-distance man on the track, most notably with times of 3:57 for the 1500 meter run, 1:53.25 for the 800 meter run, and a 52.27 for the 400 meter dash. Combined with his repertoire of speed, Luk's 5000 meter result demonstrates his potential range and an untapped level of aerobic fitness that bodes well for his performance on the track throughout the season ahead.
