Those lunar racers are taking over, they seem the way to go for racing flats.

Success is where preparation and opportunity meet. Hard work coupled with excellent running conditions led to an excellent performance. I saw Dickson this summer making the rounds around Hains Point in the mornings, putting in the work before work, and it paid off. The consistency and persistence is what gave DM the opportunity to do well at Philly. So if you're thinking about skipping your run this afternoon because you're looking out the window thinking man it's ugly out... think WWDMD? He'd be out running, gitin' 'er done. Happy running.

Great comment Matias. Dickson is the model hard worker, but is also smart. It should be noted that his achilles flared up just a couple of weeks ago. He took his first day(s) off in weeks (months?) to "kill" the injury. It worked. Cool and calm under fire.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Seriously. Since putting on the GRC jersey, putting in the work has been really easy to do, and I just hope we can continue to do more group training and get the best out of ourselves. If you compete with honor, never giving an inch, all the way through the line, there are no regrets; you can take your week off in peace. Still, I know I can run faster than this -- a lot faster. I need to think a bit more about the timing of the cycle (I do think I passed by my peak) and a missing ingredient (long efforts, 15-20 miles, at or below goal race pace)...I will try to blog about it in the next couple weeks so we can all try to learn and, though it is hard to believe, begin thinking about our preparations for next fall. Excited about the spring season.
