JD - I may run. I will let you know.I'm back at 70 mpw and would like to stay that way. Your Wed w/o looks good too, but getting down to Gtown is tough. Maybe a similar w/o the following weekend? I need to start running some quick longer runs myself. As a side, I cool downed with our "friend" Bert on Saturday. He's not defecting but he'd like to get together for a run sometime.
I think I am going to opt for a long run with a hard close. I need long runs bad right now. If anyone is interested, I've found a sweet spot at Lake Frank in Derwood, Md. Plan to run 15-16...last 5 miles quasi hard. First 8 are on rolling trails...nothing ridiculous and the next 7 or so are on the Rock Creek Park trail and streets.
I hear ya. That sounds like an awesome run. Perhaps we can hit it up Nov 4th? I'm racing the goblin gobbler next sunday... but the following weekend is open. The one thereafter is veterans' day. These sunday races have various pros and cons- the con being long runs are now shifted to monday.
jason, question about the goblin gallop. is ben able to get entries into this race? i'm assuming no, but if so let me know. i'm signing up in the next few days regardless.
I didn't ask him about this race, or actually any other race- so I don't know what the policy is... I kinda thought it was for the bigger races?
Yeah i have no clue. Max always gets in free to so many races. I need to figure out how that works. $20 it is! Big gulps? Welp, see ya later.
Scott, remember, you are like luke skywalker in his youth. you need to learn to master the FORCE.
Scott, I think you have a good chance getting that back... depends on who shows up. Last year I was second to Deak just under 16:00 minutes, but 3rd place was over 17. there may even then be age group prizes?
Is this the same race that "Spidey Deak" won?
it is indeed the race I thought I lost to a 12 year old spiderman.
Scott, harness the force. win the race
