I wouldn't mind getting off the track. Tempo or Fartlek on the CCT?

Tempo would be perfect. 5 mile tempo followed by 4 x 200?

Sounds good to me

Down week for me, so no hard workouts til Sunday's Leesburg 20K. Will go medium long. Is anyone else racing there?

Tempo followed by Rock Bottom works for me too. Emily should meet us at RB as well.

I agree, ZBSports. Being healthy is the tits!

We have been pretty good at deciding to do workouts on the hottest day of each week. Maybe we can run this on the G-town Branch part of the CCT so we don't have to finish with an uphill. I'm not sure if it's long enough plus we would have to cross Connecticut out and back. Thoughts?

Could be repetitive but we could go up and back on the gravel section from connecticut and through the tunnel then turn around... thoughts? i am good either way

I just want to run hard with other people. I don't care if we do it around a parking lot

I've done tempos on the gravel section between mile markers 2 and 3 and actually enjoyed it. Accurate markers, pretty flat, soft surface, etc. That being said, I'm up for whatever.

Awesome... Wanna go for this... we will run our water bottles over to the marker we decide to start from.
