HILLS

I need to do some hills. I would like to do some in G-town on LOVERS LANE on WED OR THURS. LOOKING TO DO 20 sets of up and down. ALL ABILITIES, SKILLS AND SUCH ARE WELCOME. SOMETIME BETWEEN 5-6:15 works. Please let me know in advance if interested.

Ran 32 miles this past weekend. Legs are tired and hamstring is tight but overall, ok. I went to see the PT at the store yesterday and it was very helpful. Thanks Ben for setting that up________________M

Max, Glad to hear the PT person was helpful....Just a thought....maybe racing twice (or did I miss another??) a weekend is tough on the body....

I am also doing hills on Wednesday, but I am running them in Cabin John Park, MD. It's a half mile long hill up a gravel road. It gets steeper as you go, but looks like something one might encounter in a race.

I want to run 8 x hill with 400m rest. If anyone else is interested let me know.

I think "Double C" is coming with me (Christiam).

Max, I will do this with you on Thursday if you choose that day.

Gebrselassie is my new hero. From the nytimes:

When he was a boy and first started running, he said, he planned to run a marathon. He recalled that at age 15 he ran his first marathon in 2:48. “My dream has come true,” he said.

What is left for him? He laughed off a joke of running a 100-kilometer race, but turned serious, as if seeing his next finish line already. “The Olympics,” he said.

i would have run 3 races this weekend if time allowed. I am starting to get Wardian-like resiliency. Soreness and pain=the reality of the runner. Just make sure to jump in a bucket of ice and do lots of stretching digest 4-5 omega 3 fish oil pills, 2 or 3 extra strength glucosamine and lots of raw broccoli, everyday.

BTW---I agree with Matias about Geb. Its about loving your dreams and making them real---- All you young guys out there, the world is yours!

Max thank you for starting a thread about a workout, having someone say they can meet you, then ignoring his comment for three days. I am assuming that your workout is off?
