GRC Items for Review

Jingle All the Way 10K
At the end of the week I will work with Max/GRC to get entries for the JINGLE ALL THE WAY 10K. If you plan to race, please amend the GRC calendar accordingly. God, I love that calendar...

USATF XC Champs
If YOU plan on racing the "big dance" in February, you need to become a member (or renew your membership) with the USATF. Information can be found in the link below. Once you're a member, put a " USATF " next to your name on the GRC Calendar. The fee is $30.

Club Name = The Georgetown Running Company
Club Number = 10-1016

Holiday Party!
We will be having a GRC Holiday Party at the Chevy Chase Store on Friday, December 12. This promises to be a lot of fun. We're still working out details, but early arrangements indicate this will be a pot-luck style affair (everyone brings a "dish") while GRC supplies a keg or 2...or 3. We will have music and dancing and ice swans...probably not ice swans. Maybe an ice cockatiel? MARK your calendars and stay tuned for updates...

Saturday Run
Come on out to the GRC store on Saturday at 8:30am. This should be a good crowd with a variety of running abilities.

Sunday Run
A few of us are going camping after the Saturday run so I defer to someone else to post a Sunday long run

I'm not a very good cook, so would you accept some "adult" eggnog as a my contribution?

I'm lactose intolerant, so just bring the Bourbon...

Yes.

Slight change...

We realized the JINGLE BELL 10K is on that Sunday, so we moved the party to Friday night on December 12.

I've amended this information in the post above.

If you are current USATF member, as I am, here is what you need to do:

Process for Changing Affiliations

You can view your current affiliation(s) in your Member Profile. Affiliation-change requests will be handled through your Association.

Local Club

Only an athlete (or his/her legal guardian) can request a club affiliation change (coaches may not make this request).
Send a "Club Transfer Request" as an e-mail, fax, or letter (phone calls not accepted) to the membership chair of your Association (hnich17650@comcast.net, Mr. Nichols) and include the following:
Your name and membership number
The reason for requesting the change
Your current club affiliation (including "unattached")
The name of the new club you want to be affiliated with
The name of the event/meet, location, and date where you last competed for a club
After reviewing the request, the membership chair will either make the change in your member profile or request additional information.
If your affiliation has not been updated in your member profile and you have not heard back from your Association within 7 business days, e-mail membership@usatf.org with the above information.

Matias, that is awesome. I think I know what I'm asking Santa for this year. What model do you have?

Garmin 405 - 300 bucks plus 50 for the heartrate monitor.

For the party, I'm bringing some M&Ms... no seriously, is it like people w/ last names A-O bring a hot food, Q-Z bring a cold food, and last names starting with a P bring napkins?
