Weekend Runs

Saturday - 8:30am at the Georgetown Store. A reliable source indicates there will be bagels and hot chocolate after the run.

Sunday - there is talk about running the Greenway Trail which starts (or ends?) at Riley's Lock. The Greenway trail is an out-and-back cross country-style trail that meanders alongside Seneca Creek from the Potomac River to Derwood, Md. Rough map is here. It is quite beautiful, especially this time of year. You're well protected from the wind. We'll likely run 14 or so on the trail and then add on by finishing up on the C&O Canal via Violettes (sic) Lock. 10am. Starbucks after the run.

Monday - assuming people have it off, does anyone want to run on MLK day? Maybe "The Line" for an easy 12 miles or so? Any other thoughts?

Tuesday - it'd be fun to do a run through The Mall on Innauguration Day. Though, I don't even know if I have that day off yet.

I'd be down for a run on Monday. 12 is just about perfect.

I'd likely be in for 11/12 on Monday, if not too early

How about 9:30am at THE LINE?

MLK Monday run sounds good, see you at 9:30

I will join for all these runs, but I will probably start the Monday run early in case I need to go to work. I can start at 9 and meet everyone at 9:30 to run a few more miles.

I'll be hanging out on the Mall Tuesday morning just to see you guys run by. I might wait around and see whatever show they put on at the Capitol later that day.

I'll probably be able to make it to the runs on Sat, Sun, and Mon. On Sunday I'm hoping to show Caroline the usual Riley's Route- up on the towpath, down River Rd past Scooby Doo, back on the towpath, bookended by the driveway loops- but we'll start at 10 as well.

KLIM said...

That is my route of choice...if I can convince the masses to desert the initial route, I will join.

For Monday, i need to start at 9am at the latest. earlier would be better.

KLIM said...

so 9am on Monday instead of 9:30am.

FYI, don't wait for Caroline and I on Saturday because we need to run later. We're running from the line at 9:30 instead. Anyone else who needs to run later is welcome to join us.

Per something the Patricks need to do later in the day, the Sunday run will now start at 9:30am instead of 10:00am.

Reaves and I need to start the Sunday run at Riley's by 9:30 instead of 10. Does that work for everyone?

Billy said...

Works for me...although the other alternative is just to run the 15-16 or so at 4:30 pace, which would shave 30 minutes off.

I'm down for the Sunday and Monday runs as well.
