I meant to add this as a footnote to the nationals post, but GRC alumnus Dave O'Hara coached Annadale High School junior Ahmed Bile to a 14th place finish at the Footlocker meet on Saturday, beating some dude from CTR's school. Though Dave will readily admit to Bile's world champion-1500m genetics and freakish talent, Abdi has been deferential to Dave in the coaching respect and Ahmed actually started his season quite late.

"The kid from Sidwell" is John McGowan, who absolutely crushed everyone on my team all season. He's pretty beast.
