UPDATES

1) For those who are running on our team for the st. patricks day 8K please fax your registration in to the capital running company. put your personal info and the a giant MAX LOCKWOOD next to it so they know we are all together. As of tonight, they say they have none from you guys.
2) Dave O, can you ask Laura if she will come running with us on Saturday and she can run with Melissa and Dawn and the women can build up their own training regimine.
4)Wilson Komen was three minutes off of winning 120K at LA. The heat was supposedly terrible. Congrats to Wilson for running so well.
5) I suggest we have a runners on the way up recognition in the form of a prize or such. For example, Jake and Jason and Matias are coming on strong and running their butts off. A night out with unlimited beer a case of ENDUROX mix or something is in order. Lets put some thought into this.

I am in the 8k...just checked.

I am also in for whatever festivity is available. Something this weekend would be good.

I faxed it in today- wrote under payment, "comp entry- I'm running for The Running Company."

Not posted yet, but I'm sure it will take a few days.

comped entries are fine enough for me. I'm sure the shoe business aint' that lucrative.

for those at the top, the business is plenty lucrative. i have a cousin who works for the Chicago Bulls. He says the players get something like 3 or 4 pairs of shoes per game with custom orthotics and such that more or less come out to $1000 per game. now imagine how much the CEOs and managers of these shoe companies make if they can afford to give those sneakers away. marketing and image is everytyhing in the business of sports.

Is this coming from Ben or from the shoe companies?

Ben is supporting the race. I think the store gets some support from Brooks to help local runners like ourselves. you will have to get the lowdown from Ben for specifics. My comment above was speaking strictly from a macro standpoint.

I'm up for it, I just think Adams Morgan is a seedy neighborhood. There are so many other options in DC: Capitol Hill, Woodley Park, Georgetown, Dupont, Downtown. On the other side of the Potomac you have Old Town and Clarendon.

I like Adams Morgan...maybe Asylum?

Drinking....mmmmmmm....count me in!

Justin, if you think Adams Morgan is a seedy neighborhood you need to travel more and perhaps go on more dates! i say we go to toledo lounge at first and make way over to bossa or some known dive, like Chief Ikes, later. suggestions from others are welcome.
