NO BRAINER

thanks for your comments about Boston, Jake and all. We will see. Its a game time decision. If the leg muscles are fully healed then its a go. i am probably stronger(physically) than I was last year when i ran 2:33 after running the Cherry Blossom and National Marathon. In fact, before the National and Boston I felt terrible but did well. There is something about Boston that brings out the best and makes one forget about all else. The crowds, the tradition, the women at Wesley college, the homeward stroll coming onto Boylston st. and ramming it home. Nothing else like it. There is nothing like the finish. Sort of like entering the roman Colosseum with the crowds screaming and going wild. Luke, you will have a blast.

At this point, its about mental confidence and believing that the hamstring issue is truly resolved.

As for Cherry Blossom, i will be out there to cheer the troops. Steve Meinelt is running it as well and might be the top American.

Hey Max, I say live to fight another day and go for a little sub 2:30 action at Chicago. If you ran 2:33 at Boston sub 2:30 is totally doable for you. Maybe even Grandma’s with Jake, Melissa and Jason. Get better bud! Dave

Max, Take Matias's bike. I'll bring mine. We'll all ride around the course. Meet where?

Parking could be nutz down there. How about we meet near $$$'s place and ride down?

I am going to park near the Einstein statue (across from Vietnam). Could I toss a small backback to someone near the start? It might be raining so I may want to wear a jacket up until near race time.

jake, just leave your stuff where you can check your clothes. they make you right your bib number on the bag and you can pick up your stuff after the race.

Matias and steve, i think i will walk down there and be hovering around the steps to behind the lincoln to cheer people as they come down the home stretch.

Is that RacePacket website ever updated?

Scott - what in the lord are you talking about?

I just clicked on that Max interview and then was trying to look around the rest of the website. Look at the front page of racepacket.com. It clearly hasn't been updated since December. And they have that grand prix series but the grand prix page is still from 2006. The results page is up to date, though. That's nice.
