Achilles Tendon

After taking off a few days because I had the stomach flu, I jumped right back into running and did some speed work on the track. After the workout, my right achilles felt tender and sore and still does today accompanied with a scab on it. I am planning on immersing it in an ice cooler, but what should I do in terms of my training and rest?

Unfortunately, it might be worth taking another day off (or two) and let the pain subside. Then give it a simple test...there is a difference between being sore and in pain...only you will know the difference.
