Loooong run this Saturday

Hi Everyone,

I'm running the Stone Mill 50 miler on Nov 20. I would love to see some of you out on the trails while I slog along at a 9-10 minute mile pace. When I say I would love to see you, you have to trust me on that--because I might not act so ecstatic at mile 37.

The start is at 7am at Damascus Regional Park, and the course is along the Seneca Greenway Trail passing near Montgomery Village and Germantown and heading all the way down towards the C&O canal. The course map, marked with locations of aid stations, is here. Email me if you want more info. It would be really fun to have some support out there.

I live out there. If you want company I can meet you at a certain mile mark and trot with you for a while.

I am going to run from the Store in the morning, but would come out to watch/support at a late stage of the race.

Do you have any idea where you might be at say 11-12?

Anyone else want to go with me?

I will be out and about supporting and probably running some of the second half with Shannon. Will try to post progress updates here.

Thanks guys--I plan on being at the turnaround, Berryville Rd, which according to google is @39.091376,-77.329322 around 11am. This is the closest point to DC and is right out River Rd from the store. By noon to 12:30 I hope to be crossing Germantown Rd, @39.128524,-77.296708
and between 12:30 and 1pm should be at Clopper Lake, which should be pretty @39.145060,-77.258669. The scenery will be pretty. Not me. That's mile 36.2
